My name is Lenka, I am 31 and I am from Slovakia. I have always loved travelling, which was fostered by my parents. They always made small trips with me and my sister, and later vacations everywhere in the world. Thanks to them we saw many amazing places. It started with Egypt and continued with destinations like Jamaica, Sri Lanka, Mexico, Dominican Republic and Senegal. I think this is a good basis for a lover of travelling, or maybe I can say my parents are the reason for my positive attitude towards a wandering life.
Volám sa Lenka, mám 29 rokov a som Záhoráčka ako repa. Odvždy som mala rada cestovanie, začo môžem asi poďakovať svojim rodičom. Odmalička nás so sestrou brali na výlety po okolí a neskôr na dovolenky po celom svete. A že sme sa vďaka nim dostali kade tade. Začalo to Egyptom, neskôr destinácie ako Jamajka, Srí Lanka, Mexiko, Dominikánska republika či Senegal. Myslím, že dobrý základ pre milovníka cestovania, ba dokonca možno môžem povedať, že práve rodičia dali základ môjmu pozitívnemu vzťahu k životu kočovníka.
I studied tourism at Economy University in Bratislava, so travelling was always around me. After the university I worked in the best patent office in Bratislava and I had simple cozy life. After that I went to Thailand, met my American, and crazy things happened. At the beginning of this story was an accident.
Študovala som cestovný ruch na Ekonomickej univerzite v Bratislave, takže stále sa to motalo okolo cestovania. Po škole som začala pracovať v tej najlepšej patentovej kancelárii a na chvíľu žila pokojným usadnutým životom. Potom som stretla svojho Američana a začali sa diať šialené veci. Na začiatku tohto príbehu bola nehoda v Thajsku.
After I recovered from the accident I was thinking again and again if I could do the craziest thing and quit my job and jump into the arms of my American. I decided yes, so I quit my job and started exploring the world.
Vylízala som sa z následkov nehody a dlho predlho som premýšľala, či môžem urobiť niečo také šialené, ako seknúť s prácou a vrhnúť sa do náručia môjho Američana. Konečný verdikt bol samozrejme áno, takže som dala výpoveď a vydala sa spoznávať svet.
When I look back at where I have visited so far I realize I have seen tons of beautiful places and have collected thousands of amazing memories. I think it would be sad to not share something like this with you, so I started a blog. I am not tech savvy, so it’s a huge challenge for me. I am not sure if this will work out or what it will look like, but I hope there will always be someone who will find inspiration or good advice in my articles or who will have happier day after looking at my pictures of beautiful beaches or mountains on the other side of the world.
Keď som sa pred časom obzrela späť, uvedomila som si, že som videla obrovské množstvo krásnych miest a nazbierala množstvo super zážitkov. Povedala som si, že by bola škoda si toto všetko nechávať len pre seba, tak prečo nezaložiť blog. Som úplný technický antitalent, takže obrovská výzva. Ešte aj vo chvíli, keď píšem tento text, si nie som úplne istá, čo z toho bude, alebo ako to bude vyzerať, no dúfam, že sa vždy nájde niekto, koho svojimi článkami inšpirujem, kto si odnesie nejakú cennú radu, či si len spríjemní deň pohľadom na krásnu pláž, či očarujúce hory niekde na druhej strane sveta.
